Blowing Springs

I went to Blowing Springs as a last minute effort to get a site after the one I planned to stay at was closed. It was a nice enough site - not crowded, and on a trail.

If I recall correctly, it was cash only. The one trail that connects to the site is pretty and has water access, but was very overgrown when I visited. The area has a high population of ticks, so watch out in the warmer months.

Overall, decent, but not a site I feel the need to revisit.

Stopped here spur of the moment to get out of the car and stretch my legs. Sites are close together with no privacy but the were only a few other campers over the 3 days I was there. Beautiful creek and waterfall with sandy beach only a short walk from campground. I stayed on the upper loop and basically had the area to myself, even over a weekend. Weather changes very quickly and 2 storms rolled thru suddenly.

This campground had one trail with multiple access points to the water which was crystal clear no cell phone service not that private of sites but luckily it didn’t fill up so we were still comfortable with the privacy we found fossils in some of the rocks! Overall nice place if your in the area gets super cold at night even in the summer
