Amazing campground just off a quiet highway. We stayed in the closest spot to the bridge/ highway and could hear cars but honestly the noice of the creek was so pleasant and the cars were so infrequent it was NO problem. Large cottonwood trees line the bank of the river and provide lots of shade. Our 2 dogs loved the cool water they had plent of sticks to chase. The campground was 1/2 full and pretty quiet. This is a great spot, the Rimrocker trail is just across the highway and to the south is a road that takes you south to the Paradox Valley. Don’t miss the Deloris canyon about 5 miles to the west, it’s one of the prettiest drives I have ever been on. It has up close views of the hanging plume. WWW.Rimrocker.org.

Nice campground
This is a nice campground, easy spot to stay while doing the Rimrocker trail.
Beautiful spot
We came off the Rimrocker trail and spent a night here. The river was high and fast, but we still managed to enjoy ourselves in it, with caution! This campground is amazing! They're slowly working on making it a spot that is comfortable and welcoming. New shade trees have been planted, tons of space. Limited spots right along the river, but they were great. Some had shade shelters with tables, some were simply shades by trees. Fire pits and wood were provided. There were outhouses available and they were hands down, some of the cleanest that I had ever experienced. They are really making an effort. It's voluntary donation, instead of required camp fees. Donate! Night was amazing. Wide open skies, bats flitting around, stars covering the sky, and fireflies flickering all around us. I will definitely try to make it back to this spot. The camp hosts were very friendly and informative, and at the kiosk, there are a plethora of informational pamphlets available for the surrounding areas and sights to see.
