Very well maintained

Efficient, well maintained campground. It was a very businesslike vibe which I can appreciate growing up in NY, but it was intense after leaving the last campground we came from. The owner was super laid back and you didn't feel like you were going to put a foot wrong. We signed a long list of terms and conditions/rules, certain breeds of dogs arent allowed for insurance purposes I'm sure , etc. We had a lab/boxer mutt, but it wasn't an issue.

The employees were constantly running around keeping up with the place and kindly showed us to our camp spot. They had a golf game around the property and trail to the river. It was a nice campground for a one night stay. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Our spot was level and east to access. Campground was also super close to Missoula and we were able to run a bunch of errands. Try Biga Pizza while in town!

Clean but Lacking

The grounds are clean. But if you are camping and here for the camping life, they don’t allow fires unless it’s in their fire ring and only a few camp sites have fire rings. We asked if we could use our fire pit that we brought (solo stove) and they said no. And there are no communal fire rings. What’s camping without a fire at night? They also don’t allow charcoal grills. And they don’t provide any grilling area. They have a washing machine. But it only washes in cold. And they don’t have a dryer. There are a lot of rules and A LOT of fees for little things that you can do wrong. -fee if you check in late -fee if you check out late -fee if your dog is on a leash longer than 6ft -fee if your dog poops or pees in the wrong area -no totable black and grey disposal allowed - but you can pay a fee of $25 to have them come dump your tanks. 🙄

Wish we had stayed somewhere else. We just felt like we were going to break any little nit-picky rule and get fined.

But it is clean.

Benjamin,

Thanks for the review. We're glad to hear that you appreciated the cleanliness of the park. We've implemented guidelines for black/grey water tanks, pet waste fees (for not picking up after pets), and limitations to fire pits to encourage campers to leave the park better than they found it. We would rather not resort to fees, but it seems to be working to get less experienced campers to treat the park with care. We are always working on adding new amenities and exploring options to accommodate more campfires while also limiting the risk of wildfire. We hope you come back to see these improvements each year.

Great Setting and Vibe

Great community and setting with the nearby creek and friendly staff and guests. Spaces are tightly packed in so not much privacy but the sense of community makes up for that to some degree.
