Nice Quiet Spot

About 4-4.5 miles up Soup Creek Road, Forest Road 554. Although none of that matters as there is no sign at the turn off the Swan Hwy 83. No signage at the campground either. Had I not been watching our Avenza Map I would have driven past both. However, if no sign means fewer people, I’m all for that.

Nice little campground right on Soup Creek. Only 6 or 7 sites with 3 sites creek-side which made the best “white noise” for sleeping. Big open sites with trees separating each one. Two hideous, old, gender specific out houses still on site, but thankfully there is also a nice, newer vault/bunker toilet.

The night we camped there were 3 sites in use (including us). Solid concrete picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Nice and quiet.

The campground made a good base for the hike we came to do the next day.

Took off a star rating for no signage, again, a pro or con depending on perspective.
