Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs RV Park

We came into Saco, MT from the west. Turned from Hwy 2 to Hwy 243. SBH is on your right less than a mile from HWY 2. There are about 30 sites in the Park About 11 are back-in (40+ -80ft) and the rest are pull-thru’s of 48 - 90’. We were there 1 night over the Labor Day weekend - we had reservations - but all that was left was a 43’ pull thru. We had to disconnect our tow. The Hot spring pool house is cool to visit and swim in! There are showers in the pool area as well as a dedicated shower house in the camp ground. Both were clean but dated.
Sites are gravel and level.

Fun stop coming or going to Glacier from the East

Stopped overnight on our way home from glacier.

Quiet, with plenty of RV sites that can accommodate pretty big rigs. Our spot was pretty level. Prices are about on par with other places. Mid$40 a night. As RV parks go i would consider it average, no frills, good place to sleep. Our spot was about 3" low on the passenger side.

The indoor hot spring fed pools are nice, clean, well maintained and are what set this spot apart from the rest.

There is an extra charge to use them, but much better than your standard campground pool, the pool is bath water warm, the hot tub is HOT, the sauna is nice, and the plunge pool really shocks your senses in between.

I would definitely stop again if we are passing through, and it is at an ideal stopping point from glacier NP heading east.

One important thing to note about visiting the hot springs. The water is high in mineral content. Don't wear light colored swimwear.

Family Favorite

We loved our stay here. Pools are awesome very relaxing. Main pool is kept at 95 , hot spring is 106 and small pool is 45. All pools are water from the hot spring. Also sauna is huge downside is it has a concrete floor that gets super hot. From memory most sauna have a raised wood deck ? Campground is nice , basketball goal, 4 horseshoe pits and a community fire pit . Bathhouse/bathroom was very nice and clean. In the main lobby they have pizza and hot dogs you can buy. Pizza was pretty good. There is also a large selection of sodas, waters and maybe beer I don’t remember . Owners /workers were very nice. Now the only thing we didn’t care for is the campground guest can only use the pool till 8pm. While the hotel/cabin guest have access 24 hrs. Not a deal breaker but would’ve been nice to go whenever maybe there’s a reason didn’t ask.
