Acorn Campground — Beavers Bend State Park
About
State Park
Beavers Bend State Park is located in the mountainous region of southeast Oklahoma along the shores of Broken Bow Lake and the Mountain Fork River. Guests traveling down the winding roads through the forests of pine and hardwood trees will find adventure, beautiful scenery and plenty of activities inside this state park. The scenic beauty of Beavers Bend State Park makes it one of Oklahoma's most popular areas. Nestled among the trees and alongside the Mountain Fork River are rustic and modern cabins, RV sites and tent campsites, as well as two group camps. Two yurts named "Happy Hearth" and "Bear Tracks" are also available for overnight lodging. These round, tent-like structures are located right near the Mountain Fork River. This 3,482-acre park offers 47 cabins with kitchenettes, plus 393 campsites and over 50 tent sites spread over eight camping areas. All RV and tent sites are available for online reservations. Waste dump stations are available. Leashed pets are welcome in the park and there are cabins with one and two bedrooms that allow pets for a small nightly fee.

BEAUTIFUL
Beautiful park!! Numerous hiking trails. A beautiful river for kayaking and fishing. Our site is concrete and level. Fire pit and picnic table on site. Shady, waterfront, large site. Water and electricity only, dump station available. Showers and restrooms were a short walk, clean but dated.

Beautiful campsite on the river.
This was a spur-of-the-moment trip from NW Arkansas to Port Arthur for a couple of nights...this campground was at about the halfway point. We were surprised at the condition of the bathrooms but found that there are two sets--one for the premium campsites, and another for the lower-cost sites away from the river. By all means, pay up for the premium sites!
Beavers Bend Acorn Campground
We stayed 5 nights in Acorn campground at site AC009. The sites are offset a bit, so even with side by side neighbors you felt like you had your own space. There is water and electrical where we were. Not far out of this campground was a dual dump site. There is plenty to do from hiking trails to renting canoes, biking and swimming. We have previously stayed in their cabins which was a memorable time for our entire family. With Verizon as our provider, we had no service in Acorn campground. Minimal service was available on higher ground. Great museum and nature centers. In the Acorn area there were showers and flushing toilets. With all there is to do, best give yourself time to explore the area.
