Nice Weekend Getaway
We came here for a last minute one night trip. It was easy to book online, quick and easy! Our spot (225) was an awkward layout but we were able to make it work with two tents. The site came with a firepit and a picnic bench. Bugs weren’t too bad and we were in between two bathroom/shower houses. The cons to this place is that it doesn’t seem like the bathrooms and wash basins are kept up. The one wash basin was out of order and the one that was available had old food in it and barely drained. I would have liked more amenities but overall, it was a good weekend trip with the family. Spaces are pretty close together so if you don’t mind seeing your neighbor through the woods, then you’ll enjoy it! We also were able to go to the “beach” they offer and our son LOVED it!
Ps- though the site says alcohol allowed, no alcohol permitted on the premises.
A lot of sites blocked from use
The campground was spacious and the sites were pretty private. Closer to the beach they are a little more open and crowded. We had our camper so we didn’t go into the shower house. As busy as it was when we were there I would guess they got a lot of use. When we were there in July, entire loops were closed. This was our first and likely only time so I do not know if this is normal or not. We arrived late. The ranger station was closed. The water was shut off and we had to drive around in circles trying to find water. The kids enjoyed the beach, it was crowded. But it was July. The campground and area itself seemed nice. We chose this location because we were visiting Gettysburg and Hershey park and it was centrally located.

Mother Nature 🥰
Always love camping here. Lake to kayak. Playground for the kids. Plenty of trails and road to walk. A beach to swim at. Or my favorite, sit around the fire and look at the lake.
FYI tent campers get site 280. The view is amazing.
