Beautiful , large state park. Not crowded. Most of the sites are shaded. Bathrooms in the campground need updating, but the ones by the beach are newer & clean . Only 3 min walk from our camp site( 171) to the beach, using a wide, grass path that starts behind site 132. There was no phone signal in the campground but you have Wi-Fi in the beach area. Also there is a concession stand with ice cream & food at the beach.

Awesome park. Fantastic beach/lake, short rail trail, many great gravel cycling routes and hiking. Lots of other great parks and forests to explore near the park, too. Outpost shop by campground has great CCC history . Site 173 is along a small stream, good shade, would book this site again.
