Sketchy
I have used this app to find a lot of really great camping spots. What drew me to this one was a recent good review… and of course the river photos. I went here on 5/15/2022 and did not stay. It is right off the road which is nice… but the first thing there was an abandoned trailer with all the windows busted out. It looked like it had an old forest service sticker on it. I decided to drive around the rest of the camping area to scope it out. At the very back spot there was an even larger trailer with multiple busted windows and a broken front door. “You Win” was spray painted across the side and there was trash everywhere…. Just so much trash, bottles everywhere filled with an apple juice looking liquid… really gross. There wasn’t a vehicle there and it didn’t look like there was anyone around.
I did not stay there. I do think it would be a good site for travelers as it is next to the road and the river… but someone lives there now and is trashing the place.
Mediocre campsite amazing views
This will be a go to campground from now on for my friends and I. The campsite it’s self wasn’t very special and was right off the road so it was often noisy. However the river was a absolute gem! This spot was so isolated and empty from other people. We can’t wait to come back once the temperature rises to be able to swim! The river has many places to swim and even go on a rope swing. The other perk was it was free and only 20 mins from Canyonville where we found a great little dinner for lunch on our way home. Keep this place a secret! Protect it!
Simple spot, great swimming....
After a great ride, I pulled into Three C Rock. I never saw the ‘boat ramp’, but just beyond the campground is a day-use/picnic area. Only a handful of camps, and you’re right next to the road, so there is traffic noise.
