Scott Creek Campground is located 50 minutes southwest of Chemult, Oregon. This site lies off the beaten path and is an ideal camping destination if you want to relax in a serene and remote setting. A mix of conifers like lodgepole, ponderosa pines, and white firs shade the six campsites. You’ll find each site with a picnic table and fire ring. There is one vault toilet and an information board. Scott Creek flows peacefully through the north side of the campground and you may see a few small trout swimming in the creek. In the fall, this campground is popular amongst hunters. There is no potable water. Visitors need to bring an adequate supply of water.

Awesome campground!

We had a great time camping at this free campground! Its secluded but pretty close to HWY 97, which is nice! There was a vault toilet there, but no other facilities so make sure to bring enough water, wipes, the whole 9 yards! We came the dat before hunting season opened so we got the last campsite of 6, as this camp seems to be popular for hunters!

Beautiful spot!

Had the campground to ourselves! The campsites are next to a creek. It almost too good to be true. The road was great!

Not worth the drive in

We attempted to camp here for the night but after finally making it about a minute away from the mapped location we decided to turn back to find literally anything else. The drive in is a very bumpy road requiring you drive about 5 mph, turning what looks to be a short drive off the highway into about an hour plus excursion. The road never improves once you turn off the highway, it only narrows. If you want to be in the thick of it, or maybe need somewhere to a burry a body this is your place.

Scott Creek Campground is located 45 minutes southwest of Chemult, Oregon. From Chemult, take U.S. Highway 97 south towards Klamath Falls, Oregon, for approximately 16 miles and then turn right onto Millitary Crossing, and then left onto Sun Mountain Road. From Sun Mountain Road turn right onto Forest Service (FS) Road 2310, and then left of FS Road 2310110 and Scott Creek Campground will be on the left.
