Nimisila Reservoir Metro Park Campground

We had a great experience. The kids loved biking, the campground was very peaceful and everyone was friendly. We had an electric site so that was nice.
We have a travel trailer and it was difficult to back in because the road is narrow. Also - as mentioned there is no water here so plan on dry camping.

We stayed here and visited Cuyahoga National Park - only about a 30 minute drive so it was a perfect spot.

Nicely maintained campground, and a pretty location. Close to grocery stores and convenience places. No showers. Lots of bugs because your by the water. Campsites are kind of close. Overall good campground.

If you camp anywhere’s along the East? bog in the summer- BRING EARPLUGS or the bullfrogs will NOT let you sleep😰 they are so loud & right by the sites, the mosquitoes are slightly worse there as well. I love that if you pick the right spots- you can keep an eye on the kids at the playground & riding bikes to/from the dock straight down the park road🙌🏼

Look for spots with lots of fallen pine needles- they are several inches thick and make nice padding under tent!

Get on marketplace before you come- it’s usually easy to find free wood [in the county] that can be used. This is a Green/forested area & ppl always have logs to be rid of!
