Very nice setting
In a nice location and not far from town. We needed to keep tabs on our daughter who was with child and we drove to Conway each day to get service. It was a nice place. It was our first night at a camp ground in our RV. We walked down to the Swift River and our dog loved it as did we. I read some reviews about the camp managers , and they seemed nice and helpful to us. Not an issue just a bash by somebody wanting a party place. We went the last week of September and had no problem finding a spot to park. It was a concern of ours. We spent two nights and would have liked to spent more in the White Mountains. Nice place.
Gorgeous big trees in the whites with a pine needle carpet!
Jigger Johnson is located past the pass on the Kancamagus Hwy. There are 9 tent sites on the first tent loop with firepits and picnic tables. There are dumpsters located throughout the campground with appropriate animal deterrents. Firewood is for sale for $8 a bundle, clean water spigots are located throughout with quiet hours from 10pm to 6am. This is the ONLY campground we found on the Hwy with pay showers!!! 2.50 - and yes, the can change your quarters for you!
This campground was close to a great day-hike to Champney Falls, the Russel Colbath historic site and Sawyer Pond trail.

We Are So Impressed!
We LOVED this campground!!! Different trailheads located on grounds that are a short walk down to the River that’s great for to take a tube on and float down then walk back up. Sites are not fairly spaced apart & on some sites, there are plenty of trees in between sites. Quiet nights, clean grounds, friendly staff. It is a first come-first serve walk-in campground, no reserving ahead of time. Beautiful nature, many trails nearby with breathtaking views of the mountains.
