Great Remote Camping
Located in a nice canyon next to a creek. Stayed here one night.
There are lots of different spots with fire pits once you get into the canyon. Lots of firewood as well.
Road is pretty rough about 4 or 5 miles after you turn off the main road from the north. Didn’t need 4 wheel drive but you will need good clearance, a car will bottom out.
Only saw a couple camps on the way up. There are 4 river crossings before you get to the official campground. Due to the melting snowpack this year. The first crossing is impassable. We stopped there and camped for the night.
Will make a trip back here again. Great spot.

Great secluded place. Not sure why the directions say California when it’s in Nevada. Someone edited the map to a random place in California. I fixed it, if not google maps desert creek campground fixes it.
Excellent solitude
I did an overnight at Desert Creek and the fact that the trail is a little rough means that not a whole lot of people are going to be camping back in here. I saw two vehicles all day on the trail and was by myself at the campground that night. The creek runs all year long and it’s very peaceful with beautiful canyon like views. I’ll definitely head back when I get a chance!
