Thompson Falls State Park Campground

We spent one Saturday night here and fell in love with this spot! The Clark Fork through this area is beautiful and our camp site was right next to a semi protected bay that was perfect for our young kids to wade in. It was super quiet. Limited spots and some remained open, even though it was the high season. We did have to eat inside because the yellow jackets were super aggressive when food came out, but otherwise a great campground!

Went for the night on 4th of July weekend. The camp hosts were friendly, spots clean and nice size, and it was extremely quiet. The swimming area was nice too

First take - it's a nice campground. Sites are far apart. There's a vault toilet, potable water, no RV sanitation dump. Quite scenic, friendly camp hosts who said this is 1st year out of 4 that mosquitos are bad. River is beautiful. There is noise from occasional trains (very close) and highway (across the river), but I didn't find it disturbing - some might.
