About
Campsites and cabins are available on a beautiful deep water section of the Potomac River near Harpers Ferry in Jefferson County. A four mile section of deep water runs from our campground to above the Dargan Bend Boat Ramp in Maryland. Pontoon boats, fishing boats, water skiing, wake boarding, and jet skis are welcome. Pitch your tent and tie your boat up out front. Bring your RV as well. There are electricity and water hookups for RV sites. For those willing to rough-it, it is a beautiful unique location. We also offer beautiful, River Front Cabins that offer heat and AC, as well as their own full bathrooms.

The view was pretty. But beware the train runs right behind you. All through the night. The one way tunnel is nearby and the morning honking of horns got annoying. We were there just one night. So it was fine just for that. It sounded like maybe they are working on things like a camp store. So hopefully it will improve. Maybe ask to at least stay in the road in the upper 100 spots.

The was the nicest view at a campground that we’ve seen so far! Great views, great people PLENTY to do. We were there for wine but stayed for the camping!

Very small camp sites, we were just a few feet from the campsite next to us. The bathrooms were dirty and the campgrounds are not very attractive. There is a train track right next to the campground and the trains run all night. We would not recommend staying here

Directions
From the DC Area: I-270 north to Frederick, MD. Merge with I-70 West at Frederick for about 1/2 a mile, Take Exit 52 - 340 West to Charles Town. Follow US 340 for 16 miles and cross the Potomac River Bridge. Continue 2 miles and cross the Shenandoah River Bridge. From Rt. 340 turn onto Bakerton Road. Follow Bakerton Road all the way down. You will come to a one way tunnel. As soon as you go through the tunnel, turn right. This will take you into the campground. You camp packet will be posted on the kiosk which is located in the parking lot in front of the Campground Caretaker RV on the right side of the road.
