Military Park Malmstrom AFB Gateway FamCamp

The host here is great, and the local area is great. But if you are tent camping, beware. There is not really a good tent camping spot, as the sprinkler system will start every few hours and basically ruin your stay.

This is a military campground. It does have hookups and is very nice and quiet. The campground or the host cannot really be held responsible for mosquitos and wind. Its always windy in Great Falls. But the amenities like commissary, BX, Movie Theatre and Bowling Alley are very close and Outdoor Rec people are and camphosts are very friendly and helpful.

The campground is located on the far corner of this small Air Force Base. The back-in site we occupied had W, E, S hook-ups and was fairly level though narrow. The camp host was friendly and accommodating. That is where the goodness ended. The mosquitos were incredibly bad. Visibility was less than a mile due to smoke from fires to the northwest. It was windy and dusty. The area surrounding our site was full of broken glass. It served our purpose for a night of rest but it was an unpleasant experience and I would not stay again. Unfortunately I have no pictures to add.
