Two group sites are available for reservation through Recreation.gov. The campground accommodates tents and small RVs and offers quiet and shady sites. There is river access for small boats and the remains of the historic Dewey Bridge are nearby. It is also located near Kokopelli's Trail, a multiple-use trail from Loma, CO to Moab. (Do not enter the river without the required life jackets; it has dangerous under currents.) Beautiful by day, buggy at night
Lovely spacious sites right off the main road with some trees and bushes for shade and privacy very close to river. A short pleasant walk to nearby Dewey bridge. Almost perfect except in July it was extremely buggy at night. Understandable being so close to the river but something to keep in mind. Still worth a visit especially during the day to enjoy access to the river!

Wonderful place
I have camped here several times and really enjoyed it. It has great access to the river and 4x4 trails all around. The only disappointing thing about the campground is that it only has about 10 sites and fills up quickly most weekends. There are other areas around you can diapered camp but not many that are accessible with trailers bigger than 25 feet.
So much room!
We were in the last site in the campground, all the way at the end. It was nestled in the trees towards the back. The kids were able to toss a football with ease. We brought our smoker and smoked pork butt. We had three cars along and there was ample space. The campground was clean and well cared for. It filled up with in a half hour of us arriving. It's kind of far from Moab. Right on the river though. There is a boat ramp. The kokapelli trail goes right by. The Dewey bridge that burnt up is still there and worth looking at some history. Loved this place. Super quiet too. There is no running water at this campground, much like all of them along this stretch but there was a single vault toilet. There are also a couple group sites here and I imagine those might get a little louder but when we were there around memorial day weekend it was pretty quiet.
