Twin Eagles campground
$17 per night. It sits right on Tarryall Creek. There is a bridge that crosses the creek that takes you into a picnic area. The roads down to the campsite is a little bumpy, so not ideal for low clearance vehicles. There is no manager on site. It is a pay at the fee station. It is first come first serve. We pulled in on the Thursday night and the place is almost deserted. There are restrooms only but there are no sewer hook ups or electric hook ups or really spaces for RVs. The total number of sites is three sites total with one directly on the water - 3A. There are restrooms but no showers Site numbers one and two are up on the hill away from the creek. This is not worth $17 per night. There is better dispersed camping in the area. Sites number one and two are right next to each other so unless you were in a group, you would be right next to your neighbors
Nice spot for the night
Stayed here 1 night over Memorial Day weekend (happened to get a spot!) we car camped and drove to our trail head for a hike the next morning. It was well maintained, bathrooms were clean and permit is self issued at the entrance. Some sites are closer to the road but it wasn’t too loud and mostly heard the nice creek.
Beautiful and Right on the Creek
Beautiful scenic spot right on the creek. It is a smaller campground The sites are secluded and surrounded with shrubs for privacy. There are some really cool spots across the creek against the rocks.
There are fire rings and picnic tables at each site that are unkempt well. The bathrooms are cleaned often. You can't use this campground as a day use lot, you will need to pay for a site.
There is also lot of beautiful rock formations and trails you can get to from here. Fishing is good in the creek and you might even find a piece of gold or two.
