Cold Creek Campground

The vault toilet is spotless, both toilet and a couple of sites are right off the Palouse-to-Cascades Trail, making it a perfect night if riding the well packed gravel trail. Sites are sheltered with trees, are well packed dirt and on a slope. I don't know if there is portable water. The sites are within a long walk to a lake for a rinse off on a hot day. The camping area is a mile or less of the Hyak SnoPark.

This campground is off of a gravel forest road. Not many know about the campground which means there typically not many others camping there. You almost have the entire campground to yourself.

This used to be one of my goto spots but they don’t have a permanent host and are only open Thursday thru Sunday. The hosts operate rock creek horse camp and this one and are very good people. The campground is especially great for tents as they have flat prepared sites but hold you nose in the bathrooms. Beautiful access to the Belle Mountain trail down to Moulton Falls and lots of swimming. Great place to camp.
