Shh, its a Hideaway
WiFi is nil to none, but cool little canyon with mud rock formations. At the end of the off-road trail is another hike in trail which is super cool. Don’t be a buttmunch and camp at the end/entry to this trail thou, that’s just rude.
Beautiful
We loved this spot! We saw someone had brought their dog on a previous review so we decided to bring ours! He had a blast and luckily we didn’t have any issues with cactus. The stars were unreal at night
BLM land, variety of spots, dessert terrain
Coachwhip Canyon is accessible from the Berrago Salton Freeway, it’s right on the Ella Wash. You can drive back through the canyon through a variety of areas people pull over and camp. Park rangers do survey the area and check in on people. No camp fires, and animals must be leashed. Crazy weird dessert spiders. Canyon is really pretty however.
