Beautiful landscape

Camp sites are spacious with plenty of room for multiple tents. Each site has a bear box. Vaulted toilets were as clean as you can get a vaulted toilet. Wood, minor supplies, and a small restaurant are within a short distance. The lake around cg is dry but a river was running a short walk across…

Great campsites - deep, lots of space, and quiet. The most remote location I've ever driven into - Kaiser Pass Rd. is a thing unto itself. Really cool chatting up some PCT and JMT hikers as they "laid over" at VVR next door. And we enjoyed some time at Mono Hot Springs, +/-5 mi back down Kaiser…

Directions

From Clovis, take Highway 168 east to Shaver Lake. Continue through Shaver Lake to Huntington Lake. At the east end of Huntington Lake, turn right on the Kaiser Pass Road (at Eastwood Visitor Center). Travel 17 miles to the Edison Lake Road. Turn left toward Edison Lake and travel 7 miles to the campground.
