Above average park campground

Camped here on thru hike of PCT. Everything you need & the cleanest vault toilets ever. The drive in sites seem well appointed but we stayed in the designated hiker sites. Bear vaults a plenty ease stress because bear activity at this campground is well documented.

Lovely / not overrun campground

Tiny slice of Heaven in Devils Postpile National Monumental

This is a small, well kept campground. It’s within walking distance to Lake Sotcher as well as Reds Meadow Pack station and trailheads for Rainbow Falls and Devils Postpile. Directions

In Mammoth Lakes, CA, at intersection of State Rt. 203 (Main St.), Minaret Rd and Lake Mary Rd, take Rt. 203 west about 6 miles to the Minaret Vista entrance booth where a fee is paid. Continue through the booth on Rt. 203 for another 13.4 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground.
