Individual campsites are first come - first served. Heavy snow play area. Appletree Campground is located just off the Big Pines Highway (HWY 2) and features some of the most accessible camping in the Big Pines area. Appletree is open year-round and has eight first-come, first-served campsites. It provides trail access to Grassy Hollow and the Pacific Crest Trail. Appletree Campground's nearby slopes and open spaces offer a snowy playground for sledders and families.

Overnight only

Have camped here many times . Has 2 bathrooms at the bottom of the hill . It’s kind of a hike gettin equipment up to the upper camping areas with equipment . Lower campsites are nice but kinda close to the road so you get the road noise . Not a bad place to go for an overnight trip . Snow season is rediculous everyone is there and no one respects the people camping . Maybe has 6-7 camping spots that are good . The rest are too far .
