Established in 1970 this inviting campground was started by two loving people, Jim and Carolyn Ockey. Through its many names changes: Horse Shoe Bar Ranch, Ranch Camp, KOA Campground, Camperworld Nebo Loop, and now Ockey’s Big Mountain Campground, the intention has stayed the same, a friendly, inviting, enjoyable campground. This beautiful park is located just five miles east of Nephi, UT in Salt Creek Canyon. Off exit 225 go east on Highway 132(approx. 5 miles). The resort is on the south side of the highway. At the base of the notorious Nebo Loop Scenic Byway, Big Mountain Campground shares the same breathtaking views. You will enjoy the rustic atmosphere with many amenities and fun-filled activities.
