Oxford Ranch Campground

Located just 10 miles from Enchanted Rock SNA, Oxfords Ranch is a phenomenal overnight option when the park is full. The established facilities are decent, there is plenty of space, and it's pretty cheap to stay there. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot of flare to it, but it's a great place to crash for the night

A great option near some beautiful spots

If you are not able to reserve a campsite at the nearby Enchanted Rock State Park, there is an alternative. The Oxford Ranch is a private campground nestled in the Texas Hill Country. It is located about 11 miles south of the town of Llano, TX. When entering the property there is a house where you can pay the $10 admission fee or simply leave it in the drop box. The grounds have some developed RV sites with electricity and water. There is a community bathroom/restroom near the main building. Otherwise, the rest of the land is dedicated to primitive sites spread throughout the property that are available on a first come first served basis. Some of the primitive sites have fire rings for campfires. Other sites are simply cleared land. There are plenty of trees which offer shade and places to hang hammocks. There is a great deal of open space on this property so it is easy to find your own little piece of land to camp. There are not many activities to do at this campground, but there are also not many rules, so there is plenty of freedom. The owners are pretty chill.

Oxford Ranch Camp + Open Space

This place is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Primitive camping, but they do have a community bathroom and showers. They usually have wood for sale if you want to build a fire. Beware of stickers and ants. They are abundant. There are no designated tent camping spots. Just find a place you like and put your camp there. It’s kind of like camping on a ranch pasture minus the cattle. Also, the location marked on the Dyrt map is incorrect. Oxford Ranch is south of Llano on Hwy 16, not north. 

South of Llano, Not North

Private ranch that has opened some of their property for tents and RVs. Seems like less that 20 RV hook-ups, water and electric 30/50 available. Only 3 other campers here. Very quiet and beautiful setting and as close as you can get to Enchanted Rock. Big 👍🏻

A pretty nice decent place to camp if you have everything you need with you and you need to be near Enchanted Rock State Park.
