Family Oriented Camping

My kids are already asking when we are coming back. The owners and staff are super friendly. The water park kept my kids happy the entire weekend. Only drawback was not open past 5 pm but I understand why (they do private parties). Plenty activities for kids. They set up a movie night on the…

Cute little park

The park was small, but nice. We loved waking up to see a pasture full of cows behind us. The manager was very polite. I would stay here again.

Owners are decent and honest

Needed a place to stay with my truck and he gave me the fairest price from all the other places I called.

A work in progress

We stayed Memorial Day weekend 2021 and there was alot of activity the first couple of days. They were in the progress of putting in new pads and adding more "tiny homes". It seems the campground caters mainly towards their students and staff as there is an rv tech training school here. We happened…

Cool name, cool stay!

The name drew us in, the convenience, friendly staff, large spaces and the usual amenities will bring us back.

A very convenient location for a base if you are looking to go to Canton Trade Days, Edom's many art festivals, Moore's Store in Ben Wheeler to see a show, shopping in Tyler or any…

Absolutely Stunning Hidden Gem!

Perfect small rv park with an unbelievable view. This RV park sits atop of a historic state landmark, Loves Lookout Mountain, just north of Jacksonville Texas. This park has the best view in East Texas.

Mr. Mortis, owner/operator, is as nice and down to earth as they come. He obviously cares a…

Peaceful lakeside retreat at a reasonable price!

Solo camped with my big dog and had a blast. I went Sunday thru Tuesday, so I was the only camper on the entire loop!

Lots of water spigots, lots of shade, and sturdy fire pits make this campground really convenient. Most lakeside campsites appeared to have canoe ramps worn in.

The bathrooms…

  • The bath house is part of the day use area, which includes a nice beach/swimming area and a little amphitheater.
  • There are a couple of nice informative plaques in the park, like this one dedicated to the man who planted most of the Davy Crockett National Forest, apparently.

Well Kept Grounds with Lots to Do

We stayed one night in our RV in this spacious RV resort. My kids had fun fishing and playing on the playground and LOVED that we could rent a golf cart. The pad for the RV was level, with a nice amount of space between sites. Good value for the cost.

Pretty park, crowded sites

This park is beautiful with lots of areas to explore. The camp sites are all in one location and are very close to one another. Some sites are awesome while others are kind of awful, unfortunately. We were in site 004 and it wasn't great. There wasn't a good spot for a tent or a hammock. However,…

Beautiful Park

It was very beautiful and we enjoyed our stay but the Rv campsites were very close together so if you’re looking for a separated from everyone else kind of campsite this isn’t the one for you. We also discovered that the cellphone signal for Verizon wasn’t that great when the Rv next to us came. It…

Wonderful, well-spaced campground under the East Texas tall pines

What the campsites lacks in remoteness it makes up for with everything else.

Very well-maintained National Forest site just off Texas Highway 7 in the middle of the Davey Crockett National Forest.

  • very well-spaced apart offering more privacy than…
