Rockland Recreation Area is about 6 miles from I65 on the outskirts of Nashville, in Hendersonville, Tn.

Army Corp of Engineers are "stewards" of the area so it is very well kept. I stopped at the office first thing and got a map and information.

1. No camping here
2. If you were born after 1989 you have to have a license for any watercraft usage ( including kayak I was told)
3. Definitely a water sport area, no trails here, but there is an archery area.
4. Lotsa picnic tables, couple of shelters (reserve) and restrooms
5. Boatramp and docks to tie on to.

Nice place to spend a lazy afternoon fishing.
