Nice place

This is a nice place with a small pool and a catch and release pond. Laundry area and showers. Propane and fire wood available. Friendly staff. 10/10

Just Right!

The campground was well maintained, bathrooms were clean and nice. Though there wasn’t much air flow so it was a bit stuffy in the bathroom. Some of the campsites were small and better suited to a pop up or rv camper. We were in tents and our spot was good. Some campsites had views of Lake Energy.…

Great Rv spot

I would definitely bring a boat if you’re able. If not, there’s still some pretty great views. Everything was pretty easy for a first timer. The spots were nice gravel pads and angled for easy backin.

Great campsite

Had to call to book a reservations since we wanted to book same day. The woman on the phone was the sweetest person and was so helpful.

Campground is quiet and back off the main road. We did car camping, just FYI.

Will say make sure you download the map before you head in. There isn’t cell…

Beautiful quite lake front camping

Good size lots, most within feet of the water. Lots of trees so there's plenty of shade. Well maintained road to get here and pretty close to a modern campground with a small store. We'll be coming back here again!

Wonderful experience!

This site is completely RV/mobile camping! It’s easy to access and well taken care of in means of landscaping, our site was also right next to the front and the store!

Our site included a picnic table, water access, electrical outlets and a fire pit. The lake is nearby and there is an access near…

Very well taken care of!

*Heading back to campsite C had me a little confused because you drive through an area that looks more like permanent homes but once we found it, it was great!

Pirates Cove is a very nice RV park! The grounds had so many things for the family to do including a Basketball court, a very clean pool,…

Campground is EXTREMELY run down

First, I want to say that the employees in "Western Town" & tour guides were AMAZING! 👏

The campground was HORRIBLE! It was run down. The toilets at the pool house were backed up. The pool was well kept. They did close the pool for storms and did NOT reopen it until the next day. NOT good…

Great for boating/lake trip

Nice campground with electric hookups. One central dump station and multiple areas with community water spigots. Fill up your freshwater before you get to your site! Overall, I’d recommend if you can get a spot on the water, or you bring a boat. The inland spots can be a bit more cramped and…

GREAT SPOT! Great experience!

The Sportsman Anchor Resort and Marina was a great site! Make sure to check in at the front building to get your site passes!

There’s electric access and water access at the grounds! They are coupled sites so there’s an A and a B! There is onsite bathrooms and showers, along with a store and wood…

Great spot and close to the highway!

I was excited to see that one of my favorite areas to go swimming around had campgrounds and trails as well! The campgrounds are well taken care of and have picnic tables, fire pits and electric access! We didn’t have direct water though on our site!

There is plenty of room at each site and it’s…

Nice campground for a fast stop, not really a week long area

YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE VISITOR CENTER TO PAY FOR A CAMPING PERMIT AND OHV USE!

For the Turkey Bay OHV area each site is just a picnic table and a fire pit and the sites are not numbered- it’s more a first come first serve. The sites though are close to the entrance and you park right next to the…

Avoid This Campground

Rushing Creek is an abandoned site. The road to the area is closed off. The only thing that remains of the campsite is a slab of pavement with grass sprouting from the cracks surrounded by a dense forest. This area is very remote with no cell signal. For your own safety, do not visit or camp at…

An Okay Place to Stay

Mama D's RV Campground is okay place to stay. The campground is crowded and some of the lots have permanent houses. Each lot has access to water and electricity as well as a small campfire. The area is decently maintained. The biggest positive this place has is the convenience store at the…

A Fairly Decent Place to Stay

Mansard has many positives but the big drawback is the scenery. At the time of visiting the area, the grounds were not well maintained. There was tall grass, fallen trees, and uprooted stumps scattered everywhere. There is also the remnants of an empty swimming pool. While the place may not be the…
