We stayed here for one night on our way South. Sites are very neat and clean. Nice lake with swimming area on property. We had a good stay.
With all the parking lot style RV parks popping up these days, it’s nice to find these older parks around from days when people liked trees and breathing room. Stayed in the full hookup sites of Dogwood Loop. Some sites are hard to back into and require much work to get level, but they are well…
This property has seen better days. The cabins are very rustic and very close together. The RV sites are taken by full time residents and it has more of a trailer park vibe. I would not stay there again as there are better choices right down the road.
We had a wonderful experience at Piney River RV Resort during the 4th of July Weekend. Level concrete pads, very roomy. Private campground access to the Piney River was a great treat, especially with our small children. We will definite be back!

Super easy to walk in. Ten dollar fee to camp. The place was empty on the Thursday afternoon we came in. Saw lots of deer right on Kentucky Lake, as well as a family of trash pandas. The sites were very dirty when we arrived (baby diapers and wipes scattered everywhere - eww), but we cleaned it up…
Mostly flat near the water and lots of sites to camp. We really enjoyed our spot in the shade on a hot summer weekend.
A first come first serve spot. Need to have your camper in the actual spot before paying(different). Had to hook our 38ft 5er up to a 30amp first night even barley using anything the breaker kept tripping. We moved to 50amp the next day and all is lovely. The two sites we chose were large enough to…
Pros: They offer disability/handicap and senior discounts which is nice, not a lot of places offer that. Decent price. Receptionist was friendly. Had a lot of hiking trails around, cool park area. Everything else was mediocre or disappointing.
Cons: The power went out in the entire park in the…
Hillman ferry is a little crowded for my liking and the sites are anything but level. Although the trees were pretty, this site doesn’t provide much to the eyes. We did enjoy a night on Grand River and had a great dinner at the tavern. I’m sure if we spent some more time at this campground we would…
My favorite thing about this campground was it’s proximity to Narrows of the Harper, which I wanted to hike. Tent site, a little close in the campground, but not so bad it affected the experience negatively. Facilities well-maintained.

I would definitely bring a boat if you’re able. If not, there’s still some pretty great views. Everything was pretty easy for a first timer. The spots were nice gravel pads and angled for easy backin.
Had to call to book a reservations since we wanted to book same day. The woman on the phone was the sweetest person and was so helpful.
Campground is quiet and back off the main road. We did car camping, just FYI.
Will say make sure you download the map before you head in. There isn’t cell…
Good size lots, most within feet of the water. Lots of trees so there's plenty of shade. Well maintained road to get here and pretty close to a modern campground with a small store. We'll be coming back here again!
This site is completely RV/mobile camping! It’s easy to access and well taken care of in means of landscaping, our site was also right next to the front and the store!
Our site included a picnic table, water access, electrical outlets and a fire pit. The lake is nearby and there is an access near…
