Sunny Newton Hills

Quiet spot weekdays. Site is beautiful. Many campsites are almost full sun—so have your shade structure ready. Evenings very peaceful

Lady lied

Women at the front desk lied to me, said there were no spots available, which I drove around twice and seen at least six open with no reservation

Great area! Clean campground! Bathrooms well tended. Lake area is busy. Campsite I initially reserved was not suitable for a tent…the only flat area was right on top of the neighbor’s fire pit. We were able to move, and found a site suitable for a tent! Staff very friendly. Lots and lots of flies!…

Easy off 90, clean, friendly

There’s a fair size staff working; you could see 3-5 people at any given time. Good selection in store open 8am to 9pm in July. Nice size pool and laundry room. Store seemed well stocked with a variety of items. The mini golf was the only thing run down but the kids played it 3 times and didn’t…

Served its Purpose

We stopped here for the night during our road trip. We were not sure we would even get a spot due to the July 4th Holiday. We found a primitive spot that had a fire ring and picnic table. It was very shady however the campsites are super close to each other and unfortunately the spots were quickly…

Great place to stay for largest city in SD

If you need a quick night stop right off the interstate or a couple of days to explore the city this is a perfect location. Clean bathrooms, nice pool, friendly staff, and roomy camp areas.

Ok for an overnight

This campground is right off I90. Coming off the exit, GPS wants you to make a u-turn to get to the property on the other side of the road. Not easy with toad! This campground has 2 sides, one is literally a parking lot, and the other is beautifully tree lined. They have full hook ups and a mix…

Highway-side Oasis

A quick two night stay here on the edge of Sioux Falls. Super-clean bathrooms and showers, office lady, Mary, was a riot, a pool and a playground for the kids, and just minutes to downtown.

Best in Nebraska?

Ponca is awesome. It's set at the edge of rolling wheat fields over looking the Missouri river. The woods are lush and full of deer, turkeys and other critters (also ticks...). Facilities are clean and well maintained. There are hiking trails, playgrounds, and even a water park.

Best campground in Iowa

Clean bathrooms, clean sites, amazing views, and wonderfully kind people that work here. I could not ask for much more. It is a little pricey to stay here just for a night but well worth it if you are a wesry traveler. 1000% recommend this campground.
