We have traveled from Texas to Virginia and now down to NC and I think this is our favorite spot. A trolley can take you to the beach for a small fee, the people working here are nice, and the site is expansive with quite a few amenities. We would certainly come back.
We stayed at Carolina pines and we will be back all the amenities was amazing the food was good and the pool felt great
We were looking for a last minute place, close to the coast. Found this campground by chance. Reasonably priced during peak season. We stayed 2 weeks, had a large campsite (probably hit or miss on site size), and really enjoyed our stay. Quiet site, not a lot on amenities, but nice wooded areas,…

I would live here! Big sites, ocean right down these really cool paths. I'm going to try and come back. Great place!
My most fond memories o camping were here!! So
Much to do!! My kids loved exploring where the Huntington’s lived! There are also botanical gardens nearby. The only thing is Inthink you have to reserve your spot more than a year in advance now!!
A short 5min drive is all it takes to get to the beach. There's also a Food Lion and a Hardware store just 1mile away for the necessities you may need. Mostly quiet. Only dislike was the security light that was over our camper on site 21. full hook-up, which we only used water/electric. Bathrooms…
Great campground, big even parking spots, very friendly and helpful staff. Pet friendly. They have a beautiful bathroom/shower house. There is a large lake great for swimming and fishing!
We camped at HBRV the past three nights. We were in site #46. Great site, full hookups, end site so privacy on patio side of RV. Staff was great. People were friendly. Only 2 miles to Holden Beach. Fire pit, firewood for sale. Some long term campers. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Site 34, Outer loop.
Bathroom clean, but Grade C.
Great walking trails. Just too crowded with sites, especially the inner loop, on top of each other. Lots of kids on bikes. The roads in were no problem.
Spent 2 nights here in our sprinter van with our pup in February. Nice, quiet and friendly campground. Loved all the trails within walking distance & the trail access to the beach. It was cold for February but no snow:) Used the bathroom & shower and they were very clean. Even saw dolphins…
We stayed here for 3 nights. Our site, 19, backed to picnic shelter so avoid it. One large group had a party in there one night and pick up trucks were literally in our fire ring area. But there are great hiking trails from the campground that go near tidal ponds and good birding. We were here in…
My husband and I stayed there for two weeks in January. It is a true resort. It has indoor pools, outdoor pools, waterslide, putt putt, bowling alley, and an arcade. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant and it was absolutely wonderful. The chef actually came out and spoke with us. The grounds…
Absolutely beautiful park. Well maintained facilities and lots to do. Within easy walking distance were hiking trails, Atalayah'castle'(great tour), nature center and estuary walk, gift shop/ visitors center, lots of hiking trails, and the beach! We walked everywhere but bikes would be awesome. We…
Luckily this campsite is the closest one to where my mother in law lives bc this is a wonderful one! Plenty to walk around and see, many campsites are dispersed. There is a large playground for children, ample facilities and privacy (depending on where you choose), quick walk to the beach and so…

We camped here this weekend. Rain finally stopped and Sat and Sun were sunny and cool. We love this park to walk the beach, watch the birds and just relax. Sites are spread out and spacious. We had a full hookup site this weekend #86.
