I grew up in Myrtle Beach and have actually worked at several of the campgrounds there. If you'd rather camp than stay in a hotel, it's a perfect place to visit. You can stay in primitive camping at the state parks or go all luxurious with wifi and all the trimmings at places like Pirateland.
