Great Site to get away & get seclusion

We stayed deeper in the woods at the site named "big pine peninsula". The hike in from the parking spot was very easy so we packed in some extra water. The site was so quiet. I slept like a rock, just the cooing of an owl to lull us to sleep. There were plenty of cut paths to wander on and we also…

About This Campground

Backcountry site, pitch your own tent! Secluded forest oasis with duck pond and fishing lake to enjoy. Small seasonal creek and lots of privacy! Walking trails around ponds and small waterfalls. Pond stocked with bass and bream/bluegill - bring your own fishing pole! Please note there's no water, trash, or toilet on the property. Carry in, carry out. There's a fire pit and ring with grill and picnic table to use! There's also an empty cabin on the property - please don't explore in that area. This site does not include a canvas tent, bathroom facilities(composting outhouse nearby), water, or trash. Bring your own, carry in and carry out! Duck preserve, don't disturb nest. Enjoy fishing and taking the row boat out around the lake.
