A 70-site tent and trailer campground is located along PA 154, one mile east of the park office. Half of the campsites have electric hookups.

Water and shower houses are within a short distance of all sites.

A sanitary dumping station is available for emptying travel trailer holding tanks.

Pets are permitted at designated sites.

The campground is closed in the winter.



The 19 rustic cabins are available for rent year round. Rentals are for one week periods during the summer, and two-night minimum stays in the off-season.

Organized Group Tenting

Qualified, non-profit, organized groups can camp in the rustic group tenting area year-round.

Worlds End State Park Campground

This is a great park. I have been coming here for many years. 

Cabins are rustic and don’t have running water but they are clean and roomy. I think Cabin 8 is my favorite, it has a little loft and easy access to the creek.

Park Staff is very nice, they don’t have a problem if you call every few days asking how much snow they have...

There is a natural whirlpool with beach access and a small snack bar. The canyon vista trail is a great ski, High rock trail is my favorite trail. Great place to watch the sunrise!

Sullivan County treasure 

The park has some good trails with amazing views, a beach area and Loyalsock creek. The campsite was a bit cramped and right next to the main road going in and out of the park. We reserved the site the night before without seeing a map and picked #19.  The sites vary in size quite a bit and this happened to be one of the largest ones, made for a larger camper/motor home but also had a mulched area for tents which was nice. This site had electric hookups and the showers and bathrooms were a short walk away. Loop B offers more secluded campsites for tents with a few walk up sites as well. Our site was just a few feet away from the road which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it still felt like roadside camping. However, it made for easy access to Loyalsock creek across the street and through the woods a bit.

Encountered this gem while hiking the Loyalsock trail, a 59 mile hike that snakes east to west through Pennsylvania.

World's End Park, though quite the scary name, was absolutely beautiful!

We had such good weather, but in mid August some of the water sources were dry. If you bring a filter and keep a good pace you should be good to go!

Beautiful view, especially for summer!

We had the pleasure of renting a cabin at World's End State Park for the first time in February 2016 after being convinced by friends to check it out. We were immediately in love with the babbling river that ran right beside our cabin. On cold days and nights we could stay warm under our roof covered front porch fireplace and still enjoy being outside. There is no better place to curl up with a book and some coffee on a cold, winter morning.
The cabins stay very warm with a wood burning stove- sometimes even too warm and windows need to stay cracked open. We purchased wood from a local gentleman who delivered. A list of these services are available inside the check-in area, which also serves as a cool local mini-museum of sorts. There are several amazing lookout spots in the area that you can access via car.
The cabins generally sleep 6-8 very comfortably with 4 double bunk beds in most. The cabins also have electricity and include a stove and refrigerator. There is no plumbing, so no sink or toilet but there are several very well maintained and equipped bathroom houses throughout the cabins area. The bathrooms are private and have showers and dishwashing stations. If you are looking for comfort, bring your own good camp chair. The cabins are only equipped with wooden chairs and a wooden bench seat.
As soon as we left the park and were able to access cell phones again, I booked another cabin for myself and kids for their Spring Break in April 2016. This may become a tradition as we had a fantastic time hiking the area in the Spring. Butternut trail is right in the campground and is a perfect two-hour hike for kids who don't mind a good hike. There are some tricky spots, but it's manageable and well worth it when you reach the lookout at the top. 
The folks at the welcome center are knowledgeable and can point you in the direction of some great local trails. Forksville General Store is also nearby and there you can get cell service and a nice meal. The owners were regionally from Philadelphia and according to my son, make a fantastic cheesesteak.
We are excited to visit World's End again this spring and winter. We have not visited in the summer but hear that it gets more crowded. We have friends that recently stayed there in a tent campsite and had a great visit.

Four Seasons of Fun

Worlds end is the best. Really nice campground, good bathroom facilities with hot water showers. Some of the sites in the first loop are pretty close to the road so avoid those if possible. So much to do here in the summer: swimming, fishing, hiking. Amazing sunsets and Mountain View’s. You have to go!

Best of PA in the endless mountains 

loved camping here! close to Ricketts Glenn which gets booked up quick in the summer so easy to make a day trip to see the falls, nice little campsites, was able to pick one a little more secluded with trees around and the “tent” area had a nice flat spot with a pile of compacted wood chips so we didn’t have to deal with sleeping on any rocks or avoiding roots! the campground itself is on the smaller side but has a few hiking paths, and a driving path, up to the lookout! very beautiful, was really happy we found this place after the realization kicked in that we had waiting too long to get a site at Ricketts Glenn 😂 but it’s probably for the better! we got to have a little more privacy, and still took a trip to hike the falls! 

great camp area with good access 

My sister and I spent a weekend here. We went on the Butternut trail and the World’s End trail. The views were beautiful and so worth it. I was not a fan of the gravel portion of trail on the Butternut trail. Camping was Ok. My 6-person tent just barely fit on the wood chip pad provided. I wish this was noted when we made the reservation. When looking at other sites, it seems that most of the pad sites are on the smaller side.

Beautiful hikes, amazing views

No cell service, which is refreshing. The sound of the creek nearby is really soothing. Sites are well maintained and well organized, though a little close together. Sites 65 and 66 look like the best ones available, as they are up off the road a bit so they have a bit more privacy. The walk in sites (58-61) look nice too, but only if you are going with a group and book them all, as you have to walk through one of the sites to get to some of the other ones.

Bathrooms are clean, but only one shower (at least in Loop B). Also a tip- the sites are down the road from the Office, so I recommend arriving during daylight hours so you don't have a hard time finding them.

Quiet, peaceful

Very clean bathrooms, friendly people, great campground,welcome center was very helpful and food at snack shack was good and reasonably priced.

Sites aren’t too on top of each other. Easily accessible overflow parking. Our site was on a small stream so very buggy, but we also got to hear bullfrogs. 

Campgrounds are connected to some very cool hiking paths, very well marked. Do not miss the chance to check out cottonwood falls. Completely stunning location.

Excellent trails

We had an abnormal wind advisory warning from NWS on April 30th and almost didn’t go. But we courageously went anyway and much to my surprise it was quite peaceful. Some occasional gusts the first night but after that it was very serene. Campsites are great, we had one of the pet sites. Close to the road but very lightly trafficked and you could hear &amp; see a small waterfall across the street! Facilities were clean. This is my second time there and both times have been great! 

Gorgeous getaway

Tent pads are a luxurious, soft wood mulch. Campsites are lovely and semi-private, due to low-lying shrubbery. The restroom and shower facilities are updated and extremely clean. The hikes and views are absolutely stunning, and very challenging. We love to jump in the swimming hole as a reward for an arduous climb up the trails. 

Peaceful and modern

I first made my way out to Worlds End for some solo camping about 5 years ago and fell in love with the place. My most recent trip at the beginning of May 2021 did not disappoint. I felt immensely safe, plus it was very clean and very quiet. Respectful neighbors. Truly beautiful grounds, wonderful walk-in sites, pristine bathrooms...there’s great trails to embark on right from camp and the swimming hole and creek are a stones throw away. Can’t recommend this place enough. Do it!!!!!

Beautiful Place

Worlds End is one of my favorite parks. I love staying in a cabin for Christmas. Park is very clean, nice bathrooms. Lots of trees for privacy and great trails. If you have never been this one should definitely be on your list. Almost all the cabins are right next to the stream. Falling asleep to that sound is great. You get a wood stove and a fire ring. Some cabins even have a fire place!!!!

Christmas tradition

**General:** It really does feel like you drive to the end of the world to get to this beautiful park/campground. We camped here mid-week at the beginning of November and when we arrived with friends, we were the only two campsites occupied but by the next day, several more campers arrived. There are two campgrounds– one with hookups and one without; both campgrounds are fairly small(in terms of the number of sites). There are also rustic cabins with electricity but no running water. This is another Pennsylvania state park with excellent recycling facilities. Firewood was for sale on the honor system conveniently located near the campsites plus trail maps which was good as we had zero cell service. 

  

**Site Quality:** The sites are spaced a decent amount apart and are generous in size. The pet-designated sites are close to the road (154), although there was not a lot of traffic (at least when we were there). Each site has a large picnic table and fire ring and we stayed in the area with electric hookups. Most of the sites are nicely wooded. Bathhouse: This is the third Pennsylvania state park we have stayed at recently and all get an A+ for the bathhouses. Very clean, heated, and the showers appear to be in good condition (did not use so cannot comment on more than the appearance). There was also a dishwashing sink with dish detergent **INSIDE** the bathhouse (women’s– not sure about men’s!), something I have never seen before but which was appreciated in the colder months. 

  

**Activities:** We came for the hiking and there are numerous trails in both the state park and neighboring Loyalsock State Forest, some of which are accessible from the campgrounds. The trails are very well marked and most of them prohibited hunting but when we tried to hike to Cottonwood Falls, hunting was allowed; since we were not wearing blaze orange, we decided to turn back(we did see some “lesser” falls). I recommend the High Rock Trail(accessible from the Visitor Center) but do it in a counterclockwise direction. There is a lot of rock scrambling, but it is a beautiful trail. The visitor center has a nice playground, but it is a mile away from the campground. In season, you can horseback ride, swim, hunt, or cross-country ski or snowmobile. The Park is open year-round. 

  

**Conclusion:** This Park turned out to be a hidden gem for us, but I think it was more so because it was so sparsely inhabited; as with many other campgrounds we have stayed at, I’m sure it would have a completely different vibe during the summer months.

Nice level sites. Clean campground. Bathrooms and showers need updating. Fantastic hiking and views. 

In the Heart of World's End

Great hiking and vistas. Beautiful river and great fishing. Take the drive to Sonnes pond. Absolutely no cell signal so navigating by car can be tricky. Having no at site water connection is not something we are used to seeing so that was a pain. State parks down south I’m guessing are newer and maybe that’s why we have never run into this before.
