1910 tenement site

We received a free membership to Thousand Trails when we bought our camper. We booked this campground and drove two hours to get there. When we arrived we were told that we could pick a site down by the river in the loop. My wife and I thought that sounds nice and thought we had lucked out. When we pulled into the loop, all the travel trailers were literally on top of on another. The sites against the bank were short and uneven and because the shower house was so far away they had port a potties. It looked like a 1910 tenement site. We went back to the office and the employee told us that there were no other sites available for the two days we had booked. Rather than be miserable we canceled and drove home.

We stayed at another TT site in Swainton, NJ which was nice but too many annual site holders. Bottom line I think thousand trails is a waste book a nice campground.

SiteWe left, enough said.

Not a bad TT resort

Not a bad place to stay. Only negative is that sites are uneven. Must have leveling blocks. As far as internet, I have tmobile and I have 400Mb download and 50Mb up, so no issues streaming.

"Stay elsewhere if you can!"

This is not the first time we've stayed at a campground that did not issue site numbers upon reservation. From now on, we won't!! They let you pick your own when you get in, cuz they are so small, unlevel and difficult to get into, I bet the office does not want to be responsible for the crummy site they assign you! We hauled our rig all around, looking at sites on their"32-36 foot" list. None of them were big enough or accessible, especially those on the various'camp circles'. An employee passed us and we asked him about a larger site that was not on the list and he said"sure, you can park there" so we did. Boy, was the gal in the office steamed!! She wanted us to unplug everything and move. We stuck to our guns and stayed anyway. We definitely won't be back though, just passing through...
