We spent one day/night on a camping road trip and were very happy to find a campground so close to a beach. There are not many trees which means, for tent campers, no relief from the heat until well after sunset. The beach and sunset more than made up for the lack of shade and privacy. Even with most of the campers out on the beach to take in the sunset, you get a feeling of privacy. We were kept awake by some of the younger campers who were there to party on the beach but we didn't mind as we were all on vacation. The facilities were clean and, for a large, open campground, in good condition. If you are looking for a laid back beach camping site, this one fits the bill.
