Downed trees and decent sites

This camp was decent overall. There might only be 3 camp sites in Mineral Camp but there are endless more approaching this campground and quite a few more beyond it. If you camp in one of the 3 spots you have access to a toilet. I didn't realize where this campground was and ended up camping a short walk beyond the grounds. Fairview trail and Hardscabble trail are accessable from the actual grounds. I walked 1 mile in on the Fairview trail and it was pretty cool but the number of downed trees was extreme. The bridge was destroyed so you had to cross the Sharpes Creek. The other review for this camp ground had awesome pictures. I couldn't find any of those views. Might have been on Hardscabble or deeper on Fairview. I only stayed one night. No running water so bring enough or use a filter. Sites are quite big so more than one tent can be accommodated. Every campground I passed and saw beyond where I camped had at least rock fire rings. Most sites if not all I had seen were on some part of sharps Creek. This camp ground was probably one of the last if not the last in the Umpqua Forest. Downed trees all over this campground. Great wildlife sounds at night! Owl was hooting away.
