Kilchis Park

We had kids from 1-10 and they all stayed busy over a 4 day stay. The playground is very nice for all ages. Bathrooms are clean and updated. Easy access to the river and close to Tillamook and all it has to offer. The park host was very nice and helpful and they had lots of dry wood. Lots of fishermen there when we stayed so there is good fishing near by. The campsites are nice and large with picnic table and firepit.

Very family friendly campground

Small campground but we enjoyed our stay. Big play field, kids area. Site big enough for 2 good sized tents and the hosts were very nice. 

Small but nice

Beautiful wooded site with good basic amenities (showers and large clean toilets) –  perfect for a self-contained campervan. The sites were large – two cars and three tents – and reasonably priced, and being in among the trees our site felt more private than a standard RV park. We had our own picnic table and a firepit with built in grill, and logs were available to buy onsite. Very peaceful at night, and amazing view of the stars. Would definitely stay here again.  
  
We managed to book a place here at short notice for a busy weekend in August, when all the State campsites were completely booked up. You can book online via the Tillamook County Parks Department site (the booking page was a little glitchy and the box to enter your booking dates occasionally disappeared, but switching between the 'Camping/RV' and 'Day Use/Picnic' tabs brought it back up!) We were glad to get any booking at all, and this was a really pleasant surprise.

Hidden gem

In August 2020 we stayed at space 70 with another couple in our old rig. Due to COVID-19 every other campsite was empty otherwise this campground would be only 6' on each side apart. They are adding full hookup sites but they are not finished yet. Some of these full hookup sites have 50AMP service and others have only 20AMP service and water. The showers and Kids play area were closed due to COVID. Besides the fact there is the Kilchis River that runs along side of the park, the kids play area that was closed due to COVID and the horse shoe pits this campground is remote about 8 miles from the 101 HWY.

Nice camping spot by the stream.

I enjoyed this camping spot a lot! It was in a beautiful area. The camp sites were pretty spacious and we had a lot to choose from getting in late on a Sunday. It cost $38 for one night and $22 for additional nights. This is a good spot to enjoy and spend some time at. We were just stopping for the night to sleep.
