Close but not far away

The gist: Right off of I5 but far enough you can’t see it (sounds like a waterfall or a strong river)

Well-maintained sites

Clear signage

Wood for purchase

Walk-in sites are well spaced (we can’t hear our neighbors!)

No bugs! (June)

Summary: We reserved the last site of the walk-ups and…

beautiful campground with bonus waterfall hikes

Silver Falls is awesome to visit and the campground is great if you have the opporunity to stay for a day or two.

Beautifully forested and close to the waterfalls, the campground has all the features you could need.  Tent sites, rv sites, and cabins.  It's very popular and can sometimes be hard to…

Beautiful

Stunning camping in a temperate rainforest. Sites are big and private. Very quite and tons of near empty trails even with a full campground on a weekend in the summer. Walking, bike, and horse trails. Close to the ten waterfall trail on the day use area.

Wonderful Place

What a beautiful park and campground! The hiking is epic, campground is clean and has everything you could possibly need including clean bathrooms and showers, firewood, and water access. Can't wait to go back.

Fairgrounds RVing

The staff is very friendly. Nothing fancy here but the price is very affordable.

Very Beautiful, but avoid Weekends

This place gets CROWDED, and is hard to drive around/walk around due to the amount of day users.  Stayed in a cute yurt which was a bit of walk from the lake (~.25 mi) which is fine but getting my kayak down was a bit of a pain due to the amount of people occupying the road/parking etc.   Stunning…

RV Spots Review

We recently stayed in the RV area of Beacon Rock. There are 5 sites with hook ups. Sites 1-3 are very close together with 4 & 5 slightly more spread out. What we didn’t know was the train runs directly behind the site multiple times an hour and is loud. The area is very clean and bathrooms were…

Amazing Campsite

There's a campground where there's bathroom and a fee to reserve your site. But everywhere else around the lake is free to camp just need to find a spot to camp. No bathroom so grab a shovel lol

More of a Full Time Park

This park is more for full time living. Not much to do here. The Columbia River is across the street but there is no access because there is a yacht club, it's fenced around.

Beautiful time on the lake

Beautiful weekend on Memorial Day. Time on the lake was incredible, camping spaces are private and beautiful surrounded by rhododendrons.

Peaceful family site with close hike

We stayed at site 73 which was semi private and close to the area where extra vehicles park. At this area was also access to the south falls trailhead. Which was nice for us to just walk from our campground to the falls. Heading towards the falls is a large area for picnicking and day use. The…

Noisier than expected

The rv campground accommodates 5 spots, which is nice, though spots are relatively close to one another. Unfortunately, between the sites and the river is a train track, with trains going by about every 20 minutes. It did not bother us too much during the night, but very noticeable during the day…

Best spot to camp at Mt Hood

One of the best camping experiences I’ve had at Mt Hood. Didn’t have any reservations anywhere and thought it’d be easy to grab a spot at other grounds, not the case this time of year apparently lol. We got pointed towards McNeil and Green Canyon because it’s first come first serve. Gordon (homie…
