## Overview

 Rocky Point is located on the upper end of Fort Gibson Lake where Flat Rock Creek meets the main channel. This year-round campground offers a sandy swim beach, playground equipment and one of the best boat ramps on Fort Gibson Lake. Rocky Point Store is conveniently located direcly outside the park gates for sandwiches, pizza, ice and fuel. The store also maintains a small inventory of grocery and camping items.
## Recreation

 The nearly 20,000-acre lake offers excellent boating and swimming opportunities. Anglers enjoy fishing for black bass, white bass, crappie and several varieties of catfish and panfish. The lake\'s 225 miles of shoreline are home to thousands of acres of public hunting lands, where white-tailed deer, bobwhite quail, mourning dove, duck, geese, cottontail rabbit and squirrel roam.
## Facilities

 This year-round campground offers 59 campsites and one group day-use picnic shelter, all with electric hookups. An additional 3 campsites with canopies and no hookups are available on a first come - first serve basis. Rocky Point is unique on Fort Gibson Lake by offering a designated swim beach within the park. Additional amenities include drinking water, flush and pit toilets, showers, 2 dump stations, 3 boat ramps and a courtesy dock.
## Natural Features

 Rocky Point offers steep rocky bluffs on the eastern edge of the park and thick wooded timber of the western edge. A cove between the two sides offers boaters a calm location to moor boats. 
## Nearby Attractions

 Historic Fort Gibson, established in 1824, served as an important military post on the western frontier for close to 70 years. Now a National Historical Landmark, the site is open to the public year round. Volunteers reenact the lifestyle of the late 1800s during various events held throughout the year. A reconstructed log stockade, and original barracks, hospital, bakehouse and other structures still stand today.
## Charges &amp; Cancellations

 Cancellations made 48 hrs or more prior to the start of the reservation will incur the cancellation fee of $10. Cancellations made 24 hrs prior to the start of the reservation will incur a late cancellation fee ($10 + first nights camping fee)

This spot is directly across from a brand new bath house, with toilets and showers. Plenty of shade. Easy access to the water. Concrete picnic table, grill, lantern hook and fire ring at each site. Boat ramp within walking distance.

The weekend we were there, the east side of the campground seemed to draw more families.

West side has boat ramp with parking, and a roped swimming area. Both sides have beach type access.

We fished (fishing tube &amp; kayak) but didn't catch anything. Lots of people were fishing using jug lines.

Easy drive to the city of Wagoner, we recommend "Runts" BBQ if you want a restaurant meal.

Clean, well maintained, excellent staff.  Gorgeous area!  Beautiful lake.

Managers were great!  Helpful for first time campers.  Great camping location for groups.

Last minute reservation 

Ft Gibson Lake near Wagoner Oklahoma offers six class A campgrounds for RV and tent camping, six marinas, multiple boat ramps on 19,990 surface acres of lake with 225 miles of shoreline. Our visit was to Rocky Point COE with a gated/staffed entry station, multiple camp hosts, day use areas, boat ramps, interior paved roads, RV concrete pads, large table, fire ring, grill, lantern holder, 50/30/15 amp electric and water on class A sites plus tent camping sites complete with shelters, tables, fire rings, grills, dispersed water spigots. The campground had a dump station, bath house and several trash receptacles. Most sites were on the water or had a water view and adequately spaced to enjoy the amazing sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed site 2A which was a level pull through and big rig friendly. The rocky shoreline is a birders paradise...we had an eagle, three Great Blue Herons and plentiful hawks to name a few. The town of Wagoner has all the essentials to include grocery, fuel, dining and yes, Walmart. Verizon cell coverage was 1- 2 bars. The America The Beautiful Senior Pass is good for 50% camping discount. Recommend a look at Google Maps to plan your route into the campground from Oklahoma Hwy 69 as Garmin and Google are a little wacky.
