Dunes for 4 wheeling

Dunefield has lots of interesting plants. The main attraction is exploring them by dune buggy or 4 wheeler, which you can rent on-site.

Yay: simple campground with hot showers. Note that there are two areas to camp, one for RVs and one for tents, separated.

Nay: Since there are so many motorized vehicles on the dunes, walking around them is not very fun (you can rent on site) and they may wake you up early in the morning. When we went about 5 years ago you had to provide your own helmets (bike helmets are ok). Campground is small and the paved (RV) spaces are extremely close together. Make reservations in summer.

Surprise: The dunes aren’t very tall compared to ones we’ve been to elsewhere, but riding through them and making little jumps is a lot of fun. Nice stargazing.
