Atwood Lake Park camping is located in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties. An easy drive from Akron and Cleveland, Atwood Lake Campground is a close getaway vacation. Atwood is one of the state's -- and region's -- top lakes for sailing and pleasure boating. Atwood Lake Park features a wide, sandy beach, vending area, changing room with showers, playground, picnic area and picnic shelters.

With over 600 lots, we have a view for you.  We have areas designed for groups, as well as beautiful lake-side lots right on the water.  We also have sites close to several amenities including clean bathhouses, playgrounds, large green open areas, and other recreational sites.     

Atwood Lake Park Campground

This campground is HUGE (more than 500 sites), and it's absolutely jam packed with RVs and permanent trailers. We were fortunately given the opportunity to drive around the campground and look for a site that was appropriate for tents. We nearly turned around and left, but managed to find a site on the water that seemed really nice and far enough away from the RVs. The downside was that it was completely covered in goose scat, which made for an evening of dodging scat with every single step. Definitely not recommended for tent campers.

Location, location, location! Grab a lake front spot and just hang out there! The park is in excellent condition and the facilities are just as clean and comfortable.

Camped a long weekend for the fall festival. Campground was nice, quiet and people were friendly.  Spots are roomy, with nice yard/fire space. Not all spots are full hook up, but some are. Shower houses are nice and clean. Had a lot of activities for the kids.  Over all it was nice place, I would camp here again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Located right in a lake it’s great for relaxing and watching the sailboats go by.  The site have large concrete pads with full hookups.  They offer a nice laundry facility and also a small camp store.  They have several hiking trails and a fire tower that’s fun to climb.  Will definitely go back.  Site 919

One of the Prettier Landscaped Parks 

We stayed in Area H site 898 and could not get over the beautiful landscape.  The lake and forest trails surround this area.  The restroom and showers are brand new and are spacious and clean!  The fellow campers were friendly.

There were sites along lakeside that I highly recommend if you don't need easy access to the facilities.  

I have already booked another trip to Atwood Park.  Loved it!!

Area H is Beautiful

The Atwood Lake Campground is a true gem in a beautiful area of eastern Ohio! We’ve visited the Atwood region many times in the past but have never camped - but after this visit we’ll be back for sure. The campground is relatively new, with the campground area being completely revamped beginning in 2017. There are two overnight camping areas with seasonal sites in a separate section; we stayed in “Camp H” which is the newest area. There is a huge bathhouse with two sets of men’s and women’s restrooms and shower facilities along with a very nice laundry area. Adjoining the bathhouse area is a beautiful pavilion and children’s playground - all of which overlooks Atwood Lake. The campsites are nicely spaced though if you’re in the inner loop as we were or even some of the outer ring sites you’ll be looking right into your neighbor’s site. All sites are FHU on level concrete pads and include a metal picnic table and fire ring. If needed there are two very well equipped dump stations if you prefer to use them instead of the sewer connection at your site. Many sites are on cul de sacs directly on the lake with docks and fishing areas adjacent to the campsites. Lots of hiking trails, paved bike paths, a swimming beach and restaurant are in a nearby area. We loved the campground and will return soon!
