Inner city camping

Was a bit curious about staying at a place that, on the map, was between two towns on a river. This campground was really nice. If you did not want to cook, there are 4 restaurants within 3 blocks of your campsite. And a Cabelas within 4 blocks, so if you forget anything, it’s close by. There are…

Small town park

Beautiful campground with 4 30 amp electric hookups. Water available at the club house. Sites are grass mostly level. Free will donation. Did not see a dump station. Very well maintained.

Well maintained park with nice trails and interesting history

A very beautiful park for a day trip or weekend camping. The trails aren't exhastingly long but are very dynamic and have an abundance of wildlife. The historic area is well kept and very cool so check it out!!

secluded county park on the river

This park has been closed on and off during the time of the pandemic. When open, it is a hidden gem for rustic camping in terms of setting and location, deep in the woods and right on a bend on the river. The campsites  are well spaced and shaded, and the tenting area is particularly spacious.…

Oasis on the prairie

This is a state recreation area (like a small state park) that is centered around a large reservoir in a valley, surrounded by a forest that we got to see in all its autumn glory. It was relatively quiet there due to our fall visit, I would guess it would be much busier in summer with beachgoers…

small village campground by railroad

This is a small village campground that will host 4 RVs with hookups, and probably several tents. Reservations are not taken; if you show up and a space is available you can take it, then drop payment at the town board office. You can stop there on a nightly bassis, or rent by the month. The odd…

Nice municipal campground in a rose garden

This is a very nice municipal campground run by the city of Mayville. It is located adjacent to the Rainbow Rose garden and sculpture park, and opposite the large beautiful Island Park which has myriad recreational opportunities (see link…

Pretty neat

Kinda cool that there's a campground just plopped in the middle of a city park. Nice that it's a quick walk to playground, trails (and the pumpkin patch/corn maze in the fall!)

FHU, but very tight sites. Clean campground, nice people running it.

A life saver in the cold months

This is a nice campground, I’m sure it would be more enjoyable in the warmer seasons. Has everything you need to have a pleasurable stay except for laundry facilities. Full hook ups for the RV’er, tent camping, boat ramp with docks, playgrounds, restrooms with showers, personal garbage can picked…

I needed to scout what Turtle River looked like before I pull my travel trailer there in Spring. Here is what I found.

Nice flat pull through campgrounds. Easy electrical outlets with breakers. Water outlets are off for winter. Plenty of bathrooms Septic is drive through may be tricky to get in…

Urban RV Park

This the most urban state park campground in MN. It’s within East Grand Forks. Not quiet and felt like a town of RVs. Great amenities and coffee nearby, not wild.

An RV camping experience, unless you're walking

If you're looking for somewhere to park a big RV, this campground is modern, convenient, and nicely-equipped. There's no privacy or nature to be had, though. It's a grassy plain with straight rows of pull-throughs.

However, there are a handful of walk-in sites off to the side that looked…

Canoe-in shoe-in

How would you like to camp on your own private island? Reserve the single canoe-in site and make your dreams come true! We had such an excellent time hanging out on our little island and using it as a home base for combined canoeing and hiking day trips. You should be comfortable in a canoe before…

Awesome camping & beach!

Had a great time here!! Had two pull in spots next to each other (met Gma & Gpa there) &, therefore, had a huge yard for the kids to play in!! Lots of spots - some more in the open & others more secluded. A bit of a walk to the beach from the west loop, but not bad. Beach was nice -…
