Need to return

Nice campground, we camped near the brook. Got there later in the evening and left early in the morning to start a hiking trip. Unfortunately we didnt get to enjoy all that the park has to offer, but the staff was friendly and let us park our vehicle there for the weekend while we completed our…

Lovely River

This campground has the North Country Trail go right through it, and that is how we ended up camping there. Kids enjoyed the ice cream and refreshments for sale at the gift shop. We were able to get down to the river from our primitive site and cool off. While the bank its self was quite steep…

Remote Campground

We loved this campground! Granted we were there on a Monday but were one of 4 sites occupied so very quiet and private. There are lots of sites available but many of them are still very private. We stayed at site 41a which was up on a hill with nice views of the water and land in the distance and a…

Quiet and small

We stopped here on our cross country raid trip for one night. It was the perfect place for an overnight. Beautiful sunset over the hills and lake and perfect grill setup for dinner. LOTS OF BUGS! Bugs went away a little after twilight but it was bad!

Beautiful campground

Very nice and well taken care of campground that surrounds silver lake. You could tell that the groundskeepers take a lot of pride in how well kept it is. Our site had a gravel pad that required very little leveling with very nice grass surrounding it. Our site had water and electric hookups…

Nice facility

Sites are nicely spaced on the west side. There are two separate areas. Only the east side has a dump site. Some sites on the west area are rather sharply angled. Well-maintained. Friendly staff.

Hiking trails and river for canoeing/kayaking/fishing

Stayed at a site in the open field near to the road.  (last site available) only down side was that you got to feel the ND winds (10-30mph+) all the time.....   Next time will stay on the other side of the river at their "primitive" campsites.  those sites are all in the trees and secluded.  Also…

Nice experience by the Sheyenne River and Grasslands

This is a year round multi-use state park along the forest-lined Sheyenne River and near the Sheyenne National Grasslands. There are miles of trails through all kinds of habititats from forest to prairie to riparian shores and the water trail. In winter there is great cross country skiing and…

Nice small campground

Our first time here, it was nice! Got a great spot near the stream. Playground was nice & neat to see some of the secluded tenting spots on our walk - they look awesome! Same friendly & helpful caretakers as at Clausen Springs, which was cool. A few bridges to find & see through the…

Great campgrounds!

Our first time here & it was great! Hubby had been here as a kid, so we wanted to start our 2020 camping here. Found our favorite site & love that the stream runs in the back of all main sites! Short walk to the lake, nice little trails, small playground. Friendly staff; Scott is awesome!…

Quiet midweek, lots of kids on weekends

The main campground itself at Wylie Park is rather attractive with mature trees and reasonable site spacing (there's a secondary North Campground that's newer with less mature vegetation). Pricing is a little high at $36+/night for FHU, but the reason folks come here is for the park's other…

Stunningly gorgeous

While we're staying in the Aberdeen area we took time out today to scope out the campground at Mina Lake State Recreation Area, and it is absolutely beautiful. Well-spaced sites, nice grassy lawns, and most sites back up right to the water. As the facilities list says, sites are electric only but…
