Beautiful place on the river

Gorgeous sites, lots of kids activities, pool, and close to Mingo Falls. Our site said it would fit a 32 ft camper and it really doesn’t; we had a super hard time getting in and thought we might have to leave. So just beware that your site might not be as big as stated. That’s my only reason why it…

Great Location

We had a great time at Kirklands Creek Campground. The amenities were great, location was fantastic and Jason (Camp Host) went above and beyond to make sure our stay was very pleasurable. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful views

One of my all time favorites! It’s situated atop a ridge, so most sites have amazing views and the weather is cool in the summer. We have had mice issues in the past, so I do recommend storing food in mouse-proof containers. Also great for seeing elk. Located in the MST so you can hike directly…

Depends on where you camp!

We have stayed here a few times, and it makes a big difference where you camp.

Apple tree and dogwood loops are congested & poorly vegetated, thus not feeling private at all.

Poplar (the only generator-free loop!) is wooded and spaced nicely. Our large van fit very comfortably. Highly…

Views for Days!

We were amazed at the views from the top part of the campground where we were lucky to stay! The entire campground was clean and private. We will definitely be back.

Great Place Next to the River

Great place, love the river. Fireflies every night and within walking/biking distance of a great little town with a coffee shop, brewery, and a few restaurants.

Love this place!

Stayed here for the first time in May and loved it so much we reserved another trip for July on the way home! This is the only place we’ve ever camped and it met all my expectations. If you are looking for touristy place with putt putt, water parks, and pools this isn’t the place for you. If you…

Quiet & Secluded

Nearly right at mile marker 342 Long gravel road, couple/few camping spots along the way, mostly on the left. Drive through a little creek, and stay to the right, a little ways down you’ll find another spot just before Laurel Retreat. A little larger clearing than the others, my pop-up fight…

Beautiful

Great location for a 25 foot or smaller camper.  A bit difficult to back into.

Gorgeous view of the water.  Step incline and rocky to get into.  Perfect for relaxing and watching the boats come by.

Nice basic campground

Camped at Wilderness Cove in August 2020 for 2 nights.  Very clean, small, quiet campground.  Tents only, they do have some cabins for rent.  Nice clean bath house.  Was able to access wifi near the tubing office.  Prices are extremely reasonable.  Their website is very accurate.  I will be staying…

Nice creek

Just did a drive thru. I didn’t really pay attention because I like a little bigger site.

Don't go, Just Don't!

I've learned my lesson!! I will pay closer attention to reviews from multiple sites in the future. This place is not as advertised. We camped there over the 4th of July. Arrived as scheduled on Friday to find that the site we booked had a camper in storage on it.  The owner of the campground said…

Babbling Brook

We camped at this campground for Week of Rivers in July.  We had the farthest northwest field camp spot next to the babbling brook, our site did not have water or electric, and was a short walk to the bathhouse that is clean with hot showers.  The campground is located near Nantahala where there…
