Great Park!!

We absolutely love this place! Small and quiet in section 1. We stayed in site 19, a little snug but views and location within the park were perfect. Everyone we talked to were very nice and welcoming. The bath houses and restroom of you plan to use them are in rough condition, but can be used with…

Great place

This is a very good place to camp. Beach on lake as well as a pool. Very quiet with many full time residents. Most spots reserved for the summer.

Quiet RV sites, far from lake

Sites were spacious. Ours was entirely shaded, but others seemed to have some sun. Site came with table, light/garbage pole, fire pit. Bathhouse was a walk, but the weather was fine and inside was clean. Showers were timed, but could be started multiple times. Low privacy with only a shower curtain…

Great camping options. $30/night

Starting at $30/night for a camping lot. I came here with a 25 foot shuttle bus. There are people here with deluxe buses, car+tent campers and everything in between. I reserved it through their website. They offer a small discount for senior citizens and military. Bathroom facilities with hot…

Family friendly

Loved that there was a playground near the site. The site itself was gravelly and not super private but it was great- the hikes around were stunning.

State Park Oasis in the Middle of a Metropolis

It’s not often that you see a state park in the heart of a metropolitan area. Although it’s not in the city limits, you are surrounded by cities. Without the noise of the neighboring international airport, it’s like any other natural area. However, camping in a tent means you will be hearing the…

Good Campground in the Triangle

The last time I stayed in this area, it rained so much that I ended up sleeping in my SUV rather than in my tent, which was surrounded by an inch of water. This time, I decided our teardrop camper would be better just in case there was another deluge. This campground is in a different section of…

Easy hike in tent sites with Lake views

Had a wonderful site in the Shinleaf campground. This area is for hike in tent campers, but it’s a flat, easy, hike to site. Beautiful views of the lake at many of the sites which are well spaced out. Bathroom was very clean. Enjoyed this campground a lot!

Falls Lake Holy Point Campground

Made my first visit to Falls Lake, camping at Holly Point campground from 3/26/2021 - 4/2/2021. Very impressed with this park. The sites are laid out nice. Some could use a little fresh gravel but would not consider this a problem. Sites have a nice fire pit, which the staff cleans after each…

Beautiful and peaceful

Great spot to meet friends for a couple of nights of camping. This loop was quiet, without hookups, but had water nearby. The lake has many inlets and this one wasn't used much while we were here. Probably the summer would be different. The bottom of the driveways were pretty level given the…

Great little NC State Park campground

This was our first time at Medoc Mountain State Park in Hollister, NC. There are bike trails, horse trails, and walking trails at this state park. When we went the trails were too wet for us to do but I understand that they are beautiful right along the creek. We were there with a group of…
