DISCLAIMER - This year is one of the worst tick seasons ever. Please be mindful of ticks while you are camping, we are tucked in 200+ acres of wilderness so please be prepared to repel and protect against ticks during your stay.

Located on the site of The Old Catskill Game Farm, the Abandoned Zoo: Our 'Fido's Vineyard' Site is the perfect location for campers traveling with their pups. It is a fully fenced in site with a rain shelter. You also have access some of the most popular destinations in the Catskills but still have a site all to yourselves!

All 4 of our sites now include: -Hotel Quality Memory Foam Mattress -Sheets and pillow cases upon request -Pillows, comforter and other bedding must be provided by the camper -Direct access to 25+ miles of private hiking/mountain biking trails including swimming holes and waterfalls to explore -The Abandoned Zoo with 3.5 miles of paved walkways + many miles of wooded trails

There is a police training area about a half of a mile up the road. Occasionally you can hear shooting. It is perfectly safe and doesn't often last long.

The Space: Stay at and explore what was the site of The Catskill Game Farm, America's first and largest privately owned zoo. The tent is tucked into hundreds of acres of uninhabited land giving you the perfect campsite getaway on a truly unique Catskills property. The property sits on 203 mountainside acres with 100+ buildings and old animal shelters, 3.5 miles of paved pathways and remnants of the abandoned zoo still in tact.

Interaction with Guests: Self-Check In: to limit the impact of community spread, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self-check in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. Other Things to Note: -Please SHOP in your LOCAL area, try to carefully prepare to not go into local towns/communities if avoidable, just to reduce the spread of COVID-19. -Do not enter zoo area after dark -Do not bring wood from more than 10 miles from the site -Do not bring glass if avoidable -Carefully read through the email you will receive with details and information before your stay -There ARE restaurants that will deliver to our property if you would like to order in while visiting.
