Yet far from everything. Yes, it is in a prime location, yet highly secluded and in the midst of nature. At the site, there is water available to wash and take a shower. There are also CampKeepers on site, just in case... **We have upgraded to the standard tentrr shower to something much better so you can at least have a low pressure shower to clean up. If it is breaks, please replace it REPLACEMENTS are at :https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08142F98S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc;=1 Come one, come all! This site is suitable for two campers only. It includes a queen size bed inside. Maximum we can accommodate is 2 adults - If a larger number, kindly ask before making a reservation. We reserve the right to cancel reservations. HI there! No LOUD Music. We have had issues recently. 1\. Please do wear clothing appropriate for outdoor walking etc- Long socks, covered shoes for hiking if you go around the area. Most certainly wear insect repellent on your legs and open areas. Do check for ticks each night and remove if you find any asap. Ticks are part of the summer in most parts of US/Europe now The biggest questions/concern is the "Outdoor Camp" toilet which is essentially a bucket/toilet seating set up. We moved the toilet outside ( Tentrr has it inside) and added a privacy tent. There are special REI made liners which are used for the bathroom options. We suggest using the liners a few times as appropriate and then sealing and disposing into the metal trash can receptacle at site. All trash MUST be properly and safely bagged and disposed of from the site and then placed into the trash receptacles in front of the red metal gates of the house https://helpdesk.tentrr.com/hc/en-us/articles/115008153668-Campsite-Amenities-Bathroom-Shower The Camp Shower is essentially a 5 gallon bag with a 'plastic shower' head that uses gravity for the water. Bring towels to dry off with! Pls feel free to refill the 5 gallon water container we leave full at your site for your dishwashing and other needs.Refills can be done at the outside faucet at the house Please bring drinking water and Walmart/Shoptrite, Adams/ Emanuel's are very close by and water can also be purchased at the Stewart's gas station. With COVID 19- we are suggesting campers bring their favorite pillows. We provide clean, washed comforters, pillow cases, sheet sets and we also have a mosquito net in the tent. 7.Applestone Meats is open 24-hrs and is contactless shopping for high quality meats so you can buy as needed. Adams has great local farm produce in Kingston and other shops within 15-30 minute drive. High Fall Food Coop is pretty good- a super micro version of Wholefoods. Great outdoor eating can be had at Westwind orchard, Arrowwood brewery nearby. There are Pick your own farms near us like Kelders You will be at the back end of the property- we suggest not lighting the fires too strongly so those can be used and kept safely in control. There is camp firespace with a grill. We will provide a couple of cast iron skillets by Lodge that can be used for cooking. There is a camping water kettle Feel free to bring: pillows, water, insect repellant, coffee instant or tea packets and dry milk packets. We have some plastic disposable cutlery, plates and coffee cups. We always suggest bringing your own cutting board, knife, peeler and any favorite dishes to use. There are tiny fairy solar lights inside the tent. We also have a stronger indoor use only light battery operated. There are picnic table for you to use and eat on We leave 5 gallons of water for washing, 5 gallon metal dispenser for more water to use and clean up with and 1 gallon of sealed drinking water when you get here. There is a metal ice bucket if you wish to chill anything with ice. Ice can be purchased at Stewarts and Walmart. We will leave 1 bundle of wood for fires. More can be purchased at the local Stewarts about 5 minutes away. Local areas to hike - Minewaska state park, Stony Kills falls, Ver Nooy Kills falls etc. Hope this helps! BIG TIP: do not use GOOGLE maps. Only WAZE works up here for GPS. Note: We are in a rural and outdoor camp so there are wildlife outside. Be careful to avoid poison ivy/oak/milkweed and use any lotions like calamine ( or suggested by health officials) for any run ins. No parties -we have very nice neighbors with horses who get spooked and the locals and town frown upon it. Leave the camp as you find it. Note with the rainfalls and nature of camping, the tent walls tend to get green algae and spots. It is part of being outdoors. Thanks. RW Please leave the site AS you found it! Please DO throw your trash away. Disposal of trash bags in BINs at red gates. Quiet hours 11 pm to 7 am! Dancing, Yoga, Whatever, Respectfully! Don't feed animals & no hunting.
