Great view on 180 very private acres, This lovely camp, set on a wooded hillside among old apple and maple trees, overlooks a meadow with a view of the distant Adirondack mountains. It is located on over 180 acres of private land for walking, swimming and with several trails for light hiking or mountain biking. A 10-minute walk down an old woods road gets you to a private secluded valley pond you can swim in or watch (if you're lucky and quiet) blue heron fishing. If you want to go out, it's only 3 miles from Browns Brewery and Pub (excellent craft beers and meals) beautifully located on the Walloomsac River, or just 6 miles to Bennington, Vermont with its 3 covered bridges, restaurants and shops. Bennington has the second tallest obelisk in the US (the Washington monument is the tallest) that commemorates the Battle of Bennington (fought 8/16/1777). You can visit the battlegrounds at the Bennington Battle Historic State Park (actually located in Walloomsac, NY), only 5 miles away. Wood available.
