Four Mile Creek State Park is located just 15 minutes north of the mighty Niagara Falls. The 275 campsites average 50' x 50' in size and feature both shady and sunny settings. Available services range from 10 50 amp sites and 121 30 amp sites to 144 non-electric sites accommodating the biggest rig to the most primitive tent site. 21 Prime sites, electric or non-electric, are located near the shores of Lake Ontario and offer spectacular panoramic views. The park has hiking trails for campers along the densely wooded bluffs. The marsh at the mouth of Four Mile Creek is home to fauna such as great blue herons, white tail deer and to flora such as stunning white trillium and greenbrier. A camp store is located at Four Mile Creek. Laundry facilities are located at comfort stations in the 100 and 200 areas. A modern playground is centrally located in the park.
I have been visiting this NY State Park Campground since 2001 when I brought my then 4 year old son camping for the first time. I just love it there and feel quite safe throwing my tent up for the weekend by myself. There's a different caliber of folks that come from all over Canada and the U.S. The Staff is incredible and always makes time and as for Fred the Manager, he's just wonderful and accommodating with family activities on Friday and Saturday nights (family friendly movies). Sometimes there would be special guests speakers to teach about the environmental concerns and animals. However, as of late, there has been issues with the Camp Store. The store is either not open, do not know when it's going to be open or have little to no supplies available (as of the end of camping season 2018). It is my understanding that a new company has taken over the store for the 2019 Season. I do hope so. My wish is that the store will be open regularly in early morning with more stock and activities for the families. The Park is family friendly with opportune area in which to visit classic attractions like Niagara Falls Gorge, Niagara Aquarium, Buffalo Zoo with it's many new exhibits, Fantasy Island and much more along the Niagara Scenic way. Give yourself a breath of fresh air and camp with the best that care!!
We camped here for two nights in late June to visit the Niagara Falls area. The park is located on a scenic byway with several state parks along its route and only about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. The campground is very large and was very busy the weekend we were there. There is a mix of shaded and wide open sites. We camped at site 161 which was fairly shaded and had a large open field with a view of Lake Ontario. Sunsets were beautiful and a lot of campers come to the lake in the evening to watch it. There is a camp store and firewood for sale. Bath houses were clean and had laundry facilities. There is no swimming in the lake at this campground and I would consider it to have few recreational activities such as hiking, etc., but a nice place to camp if you are looking to explore the surrounding region.
We stayed here almost a week this month. It was clean with a large playground in the center. The showers were also very clean. In the back of the park is Lake Ontario with a cool view of Toronto City. We very much enjoyed our stay here!
I loved this campground! the 300s were very spacious. we found a BlackBerry bush and an apple tree at the back of our site. the kids play area is huge, the showers were hot, only 20 min to Niagra. we even got free parking at Niagra Falls with our campground info
Four Mile Creek State Park Campground was a beautiful ride to the end of the road - meaning people didn't camp here by accident. We stayed 3 nights on a beautiful flat, grassy site with lots of room for kids to play and neighbors at a distance that we could wave and greet, but didn't know what they ate for dinner!
Beautiful campground with clean bathhouses. There were 2 working hot showers on the 300 loop that we camped on. Push the button - have hot water for about 30 seconds, then push again - we were very thankful! Water spigots were plentiful and there was a dumpster for trash not far from our site.
We did see a bobcat and a skunk within 10 minutes of arriving so we knew animals were around, but we didn't have a problem with them.
The sunset view over the lake was phenomenal. This campground may be 11 hours from our house - but we will surely be back!!
great sites, secluded from neighbors. nice trails to hike.
This campground is situated with a beautiful view of Lake Ontario, which is even better at sunset. Bathrooms are nice and there is a laundry room. Site space is ample and there is a fire ring and table at each site. We stayed here to visit Niagara Falls and loved it. Would recommend.
This a very flat and open campground. It is located near some awesome attractions such as Niagara Falls and Fort Niagara.
Roomy campsites in a surprisingly secluded setting! Great activities and a fine camp store as well!
We stayed at this campground on our trip to Niagara Falls. It was a great location. There is a lot of space to explore and it’s right on the lake which was beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
